Smile Position of park lamp in headlight

I'm just putting the headlights back into my 1928 Model A Phaeton. Can anybody confirm what position the park lamp should be. I had them at 6o'c (bottom of the reflector) but it appeared to be fouling the spigot at the bottom of the headlamp shell and dead shorting the lighting circuit. So I've put them at 4o'c but want to confirm correct positioning before closing up.

Well, my 29 had them in the top or 12 o'clock position.

I looked in the Judging Standards for a diagram and it indicated that the headlights were single bulb up to around February 1929.

But, things can change over the years...and things may have been different in the UK...

So if you have the twolight (two bulb)reflectors, put the parking light on top.....

When I bought my '30 Town Sedan the park lights were at the bottom of the two light reflector. This was obviously incorrect because the park light socket was hitting the wires coming in the light shell from the bottom and eventually shorted them. Not good...

My car, being a Town Sedan should not have had park lights there in the first place as I have Cowl Lights.

Those sockets are now at the top and being used as my front turn signals (amber bulb).

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Consensus is 12o'c so that's where I'll put them.
