Try Google, I'm sure you'll find all kinds of information on your truck.

And a lot of mis-info. We can actually thank FTE for the off shoot of a few good forums after they kicked off a lot of knowledgable people and pissed off a lot more. The people that run that site have their heads so far up their asses it's un-real.

Though I'll agree FTE isn't like it used to be, a search in the older posts usually brings up some good info.

If you haven't gotten the notification, I found a guy on FTE that has the '53 Dealer Handbook and have done him a p.m. to see if he'll post the pages you're looking for. You can get his user name on my FTE posting. Stu

Hopefully he responds. A friend of mine got some books at a swapmeet, and I asked him to look if he's got the '53 dealer handbook. IIRC, one is a '56 dealer handbook, and another is a '48-56 Big Job Catalogue.

That'd be good if we found more guys with Dealer Handbooks. I've got a '51, 52, and '54. Julie has a '51. They are as good a reference as exists for production specs. The Chassis Manuals are the Bibles when it comes to parts and schematic breakdowns. I've got that Big Job manual too.

As for the above comments about FTE, to my mind there are too many guys that just want to add their two cents on a subject without much factual basis. Stu

Well, I've come to completely agree with this statement, sad as it is.
