Default 1959 Ford Skyliner Sway Bar Kit Bolt OEM Dimensions

Have you changed out your sway bar bushings on your '59 Skyliner? I ordered a new link kit from a very reputable source but the bolt I received in the kit is 3/8" x 8". They insist it is correct. However, my original bolt is 7/16" x 6 1/2". Now I don't know which size is OEM.

Appreciate someone measuring theirs and letting me know what the correct OEM dimensions are. Or...if you have a documented source that would be appreciated also.

I tossed my original links, the new ones I got at NAPA and is definitely a 3/8".

This is it and it seems to be 6" long. If I had to get another one, I'd go with Energy Suspension and match the old one to their product line.

I am not sure on your 59 but I have changed more than I can count.never found anything over 3/8 even on 1 1/4 sway bars.I think sometime in the past someone improvised thinking bigger is better.if it was so what did they have for a sleeve on bolt to say nothing about the rubber bushings

Better way to go is these: http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...-end-links.asp and these: http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...r-bushings.asp and you won't have to deal with the low quality off shore made rubber.

I recently changed to a bigger sway bar on my car, I have the old links and I can measure them up later if I remember.
