Default Help identifying steering box

Seeking help on identifying this steering box. Box is installed on a 1915 Speedster. It appers to be a modification or aftermarket. Posted for a member of my Model A club.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ford had used worm gear steering in a limited way on certain model T types but the information is also limited. There was the Sprague type worm set up that was aftermarket and there may have been others as well. The average model T kept the geared wheel drive with the simple pittman arm down on the bottom of the steering shaft for the most part. Maybe someone else will have more information.

The planetary gears at the wheel would have to be tossed to make this work.

The drawings on the MTFCA site show that the gears were removed and a solid shaft was installed. https://www.mtfca.com/model_t_encycl...r-the-model-t/
