Just to provide some additional float-a-motor info for this thread:



Yesterday, I removed the engine from my '31 and checked the Mac's setup hole-to-hole (centers) engine vs frame mount width using the full length stock spacers (which causes about a 1/8" gap between the frame and casting). I noticed the cushion pad bolts slid right out without binding... As it turns out, the hole-to-hole center distance was 23 1/2 inches for both the frame mount and engine mounts. So, using the old stock full-length spacers provides the correct engine-to-frame alignment for the Mac's version of float-a-motor.



I was concerned about the small gap between the vertical frame rail and the outer castings, but those castings fit tightly on the lower horizontal frame flange, and are firmly attached to the vertical wall (via the spacers and bolts), so I don't think that will be an issue.
