Looking for a pair of defrost vents for a 1941 Ford pickup. They are 4 inches from mounting hole-to-hole and have a 1 3/4" OD heater flexible tubing connector. They're larger and narrower at the vent than the ones supplied by the Early V8 Ford parts suppliers. I need 10 posts to access the Classifieds and this is my first. Thanks

Kube I think what you have is 1940 Ford Truck and Comm. I have attached photos of 1941 - 47 Ford Truck & Comm. except COE. 11T-18491-B.

That's helpful additional information. I did read somewhere the pickup defroster vents had a curve in them. I'm going to try the pair Kube has available. The 4" attachment hole span is correct. Mercurycyclone, if they don't work, is the pair in the photo available for purchase?

Mercurycyclone has shown the correct parts. I bought the ones kube found and they do not clear the glove box in my 41 pickup. Tim

While we are on this topic, is it just a press-fit for the hose onto the nozzle?

I recently went through this and learned the differences the hard way. Was sold a set of the straight style vents and was told they were correct for my '46 pickup...they aren't. Using the straight vents will prevent the defrost tubing from being installed, due to interference from the top of the instrument cluster and glove box. There is simply no way to install the hose.

Fritz: I think the term you intend is a slip fit. A press fit conjures up using a hydraulic press which would certainly be destructive. LOL

Slip fit it is then. So it should rely only on the tension of the hose to keep it from falling off?
