Default Mitchell overdrive speedometer cable

Does anyone know where I can get the speedometer cable for a Mitchell overdrive early 1930. The cable from the overdrive that attaches to the speedometer cable. Mine just went bad.
Thanks, Rick

I do know where you can get one.I have one in the shed.I bought a new Mitchell a few years ago for my early 30,oval speedo car, then my house burned with the car in it before I put the OD in.I replaced the car with a late 31,and had to buy the correct one for the round speedo. You can buy one from Mitchell,a couple of years ago I paid about $80.for it.I think if you look at the ads here you will find my ad still there.Nobody ever bought it.It is still in the box.

Try Eddie Pruette, Valley Machine Shop,7317 Norris Road, Bakersfield, CA 93308 (661)589-9529 www.valleymachineshop.com Six years ago I purchased a 1930 Model A with a Borg/Warner T5 transmission. The speedometer cable was wrong for the car so the speedometer did not work. I ordered a 10' cable from him that installed perfectly. I also changed the speedometer gear in the rear end to an 18 tooth from a 19 tooth. The speedometer/odometer is spot-on as verified by radar and highway mileage markers. He also makes a variety of custom parts for Model A's. Good luck! Gary

Contact the Mitchell Manufacturing Company In Colusa, CA at 800-859-2088, 530-458-4500. They have both the early and late extension cables for their overdrive. The early cable has a key on the end, the late have a square.
