My 50 has the cover just like 38coop's. I'd have assumed all the 49-50 cars did, but learning otherwise.

There is new carpeting installed before I purchased the car. For some reason it is glued down tight. An access door would be nice to get to the top trans. bolts but from your responses , I see I can remove it from the bottom with no problem. thanks for your help.

Frank Miller. How did you pull thr trans on your convt? Look like there is not enpugh clearance to pull it back because of the cross member. Kind looks like the bell housing needs to be pulled back with the trans.
