First start up, nothing
Tried to charge the battery and thought it had enough juice but the engine barely turned over and then it died. Thinking the battery is old and won't hold a charge. The charger says it's charged but I can't even get the lights or horn to respond. Checked all the connection as far as I could. Bypassed the kill switch too but even with a dying battery, which I'll replace this morning, I would at least get some power to the lights or horn, which it did before completely petering out. Checked the fuse on the starter too, which is fine, but that doen'r effect the lights or the horn. Am I missing something before I run out and get a new battery? The ground is good, the battery terminals clean, the water level in the old battery was low all winter in NYS so I added some but that didn't help.

Re: First start up, nothing
Can you put a known good battery in, just to see if anything changes, is so, then a new battery may be in order, if not the problem needs to be found.
