Weight of a usable wheel?
I picked up a 19 inch wheel and tire this weekend. The tire was shot but the wheel is really straight. It's rusty, but I think it can be blasted and painted for use. I heard that there is a certain weight after the blasting that can or can't be used. Anybody tell me what that weight is? And what can I expect to pay a sand blaster to remove the rust?

Re: Weight of a usable wheel?
I think that applies to 21" wheels.

With a model A Ford you needn't worry until you see holes. Sometime we worry where none is warranted. Most wheel trouble are cracks, missing or misaligned spokes & rim

Re: Weight of a usable wheel?
Yes 21" wheels are prone to this. The water gets in where there are cracks or damage. but if rusted enough to not hold the car up, after blasting there will be holes apparent.
