Have a ball! The first time is the best, but every drive is a blast.

Boy did my plans get changed! Something came up that would have delayed the first drive for a couple of weeks. Then on July 18 another (uninsured)driver crossed the center and hit me head-on. My left hip and pelvis was badly broken. After several weeks in two different hospitals I made it home. I drove the T for the first time on 10/14/2017. I didn't know if I would be able to work that left pedal with by (temporary) disabilities, but I can.
A new top kit was included when we bought the car in September 2016, but no top bows. A couple of weeks ago we bought a complete set of sockets and bows. They came to North Carolina from California. It took 16 days shipped by Greyhound, but they arrived safe and sound. We hope to get the top installed before we drive the car in the local Christmas parade on December 2nd.

Obviously, I was not driving the T when the accident happened. I was driving my 1956 F100. It was totalled.

I remember seeing earlier posts about your accident. I sure hop that you are healing up well and that you can drive the T soon. Post some photos of the T when you can.

Wish you well there Thom, hope the drive in a few weeks is good. The uninsured problem is all to frequent and good thing you were in a truck.

I just registered my 77 F150 and econoline van this past week, funny I had to show proof of insurance.
