The Ford Barn - View Single Post - 59A flathead oil passageway plugs question

On a flathead (59A) there is a oil passage plug at each end of the block. One of them has a shoulder of sorts on it. What is the purpose of this? Does any one make this special plug with the shoulder NEW?
