Great trick, as I understand it 12V is series and the 6V is fields parallel. I went out to the shed and measured a pile of them. In the '40 measured 8.2. One out of a '56+ at 7.8 Ohm. The other old ones were all very close to 3 Ohm. One all chrome that would have been great at 12V, Measured 3 Ohm. Just remembered another generator that is a 2 brush with a fan. That it has two side-posts which could be interesting on an earlier car. Thanks for the responses: Fred A
