Default Re: 37/38 Ford Cabriolets

Unfortunately I don't have any more pictures at hand. The one I posted makes the car look better than it really is. The car really needs a full restoration. It is currently housed in the back of my father's garage and not driveable. Most of the glass is original and completely fogged by now. I took this picture to put into a local car club calendar several years ago and pushed the car out of and back into the building in the background of the picture. The interior is a mess. Someone recovered the seat, door panels, and headliner in black vinyl. The original woodgrain is pretty much worn off. The rear package tray area is completely missing allowing a spare set of running boards to be stored in the truck! The car is pretty solid though and should restore nicely. The only big rust I currently know about is the tool tray in the trunk is gone.

The best place I know of to get good interior shots of a '38 is the Early Ford V8 Club '38-'39 book. I think it is very well written.

Manual, the Oliver is a 1951 model 77 with the diesel engine. Thanks.
