I know what you mean about being a pack rat and tossing anything that looks like a vintage Ford part. I installed a pair of new pumps from Speedway a couple of years ago and can forget about water pump problems. Skip Haney is also a good source for rebuilt, but in the end you still have "rebuilt" pumps. When you compare acquisition cost, the new ones are far superior to anything rebuilt. By the way, to prove how hard it was to let go, I just scrapped 20 flathead water pumps 2 months ago that I had been holding on to for 25 years!!
