I just mounted 4 Coker Classic wide whites. Two went on 16x4 wheels the other 2 went on 16x5. They were wrapped tightly for a while . When un wrapped the were tighter than a clams butt in a hurricane.
I mount the rim...backwards...on a car preferably a fender less one. It saves the front of the rim from scratches.
cover the car ….very well ...tire irons jump around ..a lot
a little soapy water on the rim and tire.... slide the tire on the rim as far as you can by hand lower the car to hold the tire in the drop center and us the irons to move the tire on usually go on pretty quick.
mount other side the same way
REMOVE THE TIRE VALVE..
pull the tire towards you and seat the bead on the side of the rim closest to you
once it's on the bead... as best as you can get it
GENTLY PUSH THE TIRE AWAY FROM YOU SO IT CONTACTS THE OPPOSITE BEAD
Push too hard and it comes off the other bead ...not enough and it will let the air out
have your lovely assistant open the gate valve on the compressor and allow 175 psi to rush in
YOU DID PUT THE LOCKING AIR CHUCK ON RIGHT ?
After you put the air chuck on
wiggle ...just a little …..the tire and it should seal up and inflate
Repeat for the other 3 ….took about 3 hrs to mount the 4 wheels
Taking them this morning for a pro spin balance.....
