Default Re: Lincoln and Mercury wheel bolt pattern

I am running P215/75R15's in the rear on my '55. The outside diameter of these is a tiny bit smaller than the OEM 710X15's. I selected them specifically for this so that I wouldn't have erroneous speedometer readings and need to change to a different speedo driven gear. The 215's are probably real close to the 670X15's which were also used on many of the '55's. I checked my speedo against a DOT speed indicator and it is spot on. The 215's don't rub up against anything either. Only problem with the 215's is, you gotta jack the back up to the ceiling to change the tires.
