Shaft bushing is leaking. Fabricate a plate to go over the gear box and be sure there is a chamfer area for a o ring on the box where the shaft exits. You may have to remove a small amount of material. Find a o ring to fit and assemble with the plate retaining the o ring Fill with correct lubricant not grease. You're golden.
