!!!FOLLOW UP QUESTION!!!!

So here is my situation I have a big buddy over here to help me install the transmission with promises of beer and loose women (though I can only provide the beer) but I'm missing my throwout bearing return spring. Can I install that later through the inspection plate on top? ...and do I need to "proper" spring or will a hardware substitute work?
