So, I took this non-running flathead/transmission apart over a decade ago, and recently had her machined and outfitted with new parts. Now come the day when I mate the motor to the trans, fresh VanPelt clutch in hand. ...and I cant remember which way the clutch disk goes on. "spring side" towards the transmission or towards the motor. And by "spring side" I mean the side with the protruding spring plate.
