Hey Marty. I actually thought about that. I have a 12v Pertronix Flame Thrower coil. I started my car last night in the dark to see if there was any arcing. I did put a little di-electric grease inside the cap to prevent moisture from collecting "Just in case".

But no, I haven't had any problems, just a fun thing to do. It makes the W16/W18 plugs resemble 3X plugs.
