If you thought that the Tail Light Stems on the 1934 Ford Victoria were long, take a look at these comparison Stems.
Back when these cars were new in Australia, it seems that the New South Wales Government introduced a Law that required both Tail Lights to be seen at once. That meant that the Stem had to be lengthened.
On the underside of the longer Stem, you can see where the Originals were cut and a piece inserted.
I believe that this Law only applied to cars sold and Registered in New South Wales.
