Well, you've got a pretty good cross section of opinion on what's the best oil in your model A.
The answer is all of them! or as I've heard said "Whatever is on sale down at Walmarts, TSC, Menards, Etc. I know that model As will run a long time with very little maintenance, Just not well. I tell the story of buying a long stored engine, complete for $75 and getting it home and taking the pan off it and finding prodigious amounts of sludge. The oil pump screen was about 80% blocked. I then took the center main cap off, the bearing came out in pieces. I wonder why? It's a one word answer, Sludge! The blocked oil pump was't allowing enough oil through to properly lube the bearings.
