The very best brake shoes are the ++ N.O.S. ++ Asbestos ++ which have been illegal to manufacture for many years now --- the softest smoooooothest braking surface known to mankind.....
Thankfully, I have ++ N.O.S. ++ Asbestos ++ and it is not illegal for us to transact on it -- they were manufactured before the statutes and are grandfathered in.
