I have had several 30/31 radiators re-cored to 4 row 10 fins per inch. I have one in my 30 Town Sedan equipped with AC and have no overheating problems. And there is no problem with the fit inside the shell. However, there might be some 30/31 radiators equipped with tanks that will not allow the 4th row.
I have tried to have 28/29 radiators re-cored to 4 row but so far none of them have had tanks that would carry the extra row.
