One of the hard things about being a teenager is having lots of ideas and desire, but little money to carry it out. And you are at a low point in your earning ability as well. Focus on school, that's #1. Find part time work an get a cheap car to work on. Plenty of those around. My second car once I decided to start banking some money, was a $150 Ford Pinto that needed a water pump., the hood paint was ruined, and had the rear quarter window broken. Drove it about 3 years, learned to do brakes, points, belts and lots of other work on that car. It was a good way of sifting through the gold diggers vs the women with vision as well.
