Re: Fading Interest
When I was your age I nearly bought a Model A Tudor. I had a part time job and was able to come up with the $600 asking price. The car was original but needed brakes, a complete rebuild of the steering and front axle, some window glass, transmission rebuild, engine work, etc. etc. I also had plans for college with no financial support from my family. It was a hard decision because I had long wanted a Model A but I passed on it and continued on to college with my beater '49 Chev. Had I bought the Model A, my direction would have led me down a path of spending money on the car and with no other resources of time or finance to continue my education.
I am forever happy that I waited until I had a degree, a good job, and the resources to pursue the Model A hobby. Aside from my bride, it was the best decision I ever made.
