Heck for years I have been using an old toaster over just put the gear in at max heat for 15 minutes. It will expand just enough to begin going on then use the pipe to complete the installation. Works perfectly every time no damage to the gear and no raised metal between the two surfaces to cause a problem like metal shavings inside the engine if not cleaned properly. The toaster oven comes in handy to warm up cold pizza for lunch also.
