According to the Restoration Supply company's literature the Pennrite 1200 W is recommended for steering boxes and will cure a leaking problem because of the high viscosity.

Pennrite states:
"A self-levelling, high viscosity lubricant containing non-corrosive extreme pressure additives.

Ideal for veteran and vintage steering boxes. Not recommended for rack and pinion steering."
