Default Re: Dingman Collection auction

Everyone in the hobby knows the old adage "if the top goes down, the price goes up" however; I was surprised to see that a '38 LZ Coupe sold for more money than a '38 LZ Convertible Sedan, '39 LZ Convertible Sedan and a'39 LZ Convertible Club Coupe... Far more LZ Coupes were produced in '38 &'39... It goes without saying that the late '30's Zephyr Coupes are some of the most beautiful production cars to come out of Ford but it's still surprising (to me at least, to see closed cars bring more money than open cars). Every car in the auction looked super in the photos, wish I had a few hundred thousand dollars just to spend on toys... Think I'll start looking for a bargain on a ‘39 Zephyr Coupe... Imagine that!
