I don't care for the 22270 type support. However I use the solid rod type 22271 on my 29 Roadster, 29 Tudor, and on a 28 Phaeton. I am very please with this type support. At least the 28/29 original radiators had a hood support on them. I question why more people do not use some type of hood support. It is beyond me why people will pay so much for a paint job and then fold their hood back on the other side so they can scratch or chip the paint.
