The Ford Barn - View Single Post - Engine Splash Pan Installation Documentation?

My new-to-me Model A didn't come with engine splash pans and I am looking to correct that to help with cooling.

So far I haven't been able to find any documentation on exactly how they're installed. I believe I felt the holes on the outer side of the frame, but am unsure where exactly the two notches on what I believe to be the engine side are connected to.

Any resources I could be pointed to would help.
