Sacramento Vintage Ford sells super bright 6v bulbs. They seem to help.

The other thing I did with my truck was to paint the inside of the tail light housing white. I did that years ago with an old Toyota Land Cruiser. It made a HUGE difference. I bought some LEDs just recently domestically, I think. I will look up and see where I got them.
