Thx all for your input. have read several articles on the subject, most seem to meet the same objective. The differential is not a mix of parts but does have thicker Timkin bearings as I just found out.
I thought about touching up the backs of the races. Could the same thing be done by turning a bit off the bearing landing on the differential cage?
