I bought some gravel guard spring a while back for future use; but I think it is plain steel; I like the idea of the cad plating on Mike's.

Another option; a friend bought some stainless guard on Amazon; he used it along with that ni-cop brake line. It looked "pretty" and probably added extra protection to that soft flimsy stuff.
