I have tried all kinds of fixes for the pipe to manifold connection, and I have found no satisfaction with any of them. You probably don't want to hear this, but taking some time to reform your pipes mating flange is what I have found to be the remedy. Also, the bend has to be right at the elbow, or it will create a gap somewhere and never seal. You are a senior member here, so I'm guessing this isn't your first Model A rodeo, and you already know all of this. It is tedious, dirty work, but the only true fix I have found to be affective.
