inside of pickup cab
My '30 pickup currently has four carriage bolts across the back wall, and a wooden rail inside to which the bolts attach. My understanding is that the cab was found down in a farmer's hollow at the back of the farm before restoration, and the back wall was caved in. When it was restored, the carriage bolts were attached to the wooden rail on the back wall inside the cab, above the seat.
I think maybe I've seen that wooden rail used in A pickups before, but not totally sure. Did Ford use these in their pickups? Or could this just be for support of the cab wall, that was put in by the previous owner?
