Default I've found a legitimate reason to use a 12v alternator on a Model-A

I believe I have finally found a legitimate reason for using a 12 volt alternator on a Model-A. As I am preparing to replace the upholstery in my daughter's Model-T speedster this Fall, I have decided I am going to add Dorman Seat Heaters (part #: 628-040) under the seat covers as a way to provide a little warmth when she is driving on Spring & Fall tours.

This has got me to thinking that many Model-As (-both open & closed bodystyles) that are driven in colder climates could benefit from using these heaters. Unfortunately they are not manufactured for use with 6 volts, and a stock Model-A style generator could not keep up with the amperage requirements however for those seeking an alternative to those unsightly (i.e.: drafty / smelly) manifold heaters, this may be a workable solution. Thoughts??
