Default Re: marmon herrington F-1 trucks

Very interesting thread. I have never owned a MH 4x, have tried several times to buy one but have never been able to make a deal. I know where there is a '51/52 F-1 sitting on a remote farm in Centeral Idaho, the truck is very complete other than the top of the cab having been removed for some unknown reason.
I developed a fetish for the first series of Ford factor built 4x's in 1959, I have three of them:

A completely rebuilt F-100 Custom Cab with about every accessory listed in the Ford book. I also have a very nice original 59 F-100 that is a daily driver on the farm and another 59 F-100 that is missing the V8 engine and transfer case, both of which I now have.
I also have a '63 F-100 V8 4x, 8' Custom Cab Unibody, that reputedly Ford never made and a '66 F-250 V8 4x, 4 spd, 8' bed, which is a limited series truck. Of the few '65,66 F-250 4x's I have seen, not more than a half dozen, they generally always have the '58-60 8' StyleSide bed and a very heavy duty chassis, similar to a 1.5 ton truck.
