Default Re: 69a Block Oil Gallery Crack. Centre bearing

Hey Phil: I've been curious about that manifold - looks like it is a more modern design for the standard Holley square bore base. This would seem to be a better setup than using an older 4-barrel design from the 50's that is not really setup for our modern carbs. I'd love to see what the manifold plenum area looks like - if you happen to have the manifold, could you take some pictures of the top-plate on the manifold as well as with the plate removed so we can see the plenum area. Would love it if it was a good dual-plane design with the correct port mappings (given the firing order of the flathead). Take care and good luck with your "new" engine!

Your engine should run really well . . . but I'd sure put a bit more CAM into it! LOL I know, you'll have more torque off a stop and more lower-end power, but I can't help myself with putting cams into these engines. Maybe a 1007B???
