Take the cushion out simply by lifting on the front and pulling it up and out. To remove the seat frame and backrest you have to determine if it is early 1931 or late 1931 as both seats are very different. When the cushion is out, if you have wood under the cushion it is early 1931. If metal under the cushion it’s late 1931.


If early style, you will need to remove 12 slotted 12/24 machine screws, and the 4 bolts at the front around the seat adjuster. Also remove the upholstery flap behind the back top of the seat.

If late style, you will see 6 nuts under the cushion and two bolts holding the adjuster in the middle. Flap behind seat is the same.
