Oh Boy! Here we go with more obviously false information presented as fact! Look at the "Stovebolt" definition. A Chevy inline six DID NOT have "head bolts similar to bolts on a wood burning stove"! Where did that come from?? (From ignorance, I think.) A stovebolt has a flat top head with a screwdriver slot, and the underside of the head tapers down to the shank diameter. Wouldn't work very well as a head bolt! Go to fastenermart.com and type in slotted flat head stove bolts for a drawing.
