The taper is different between the Model A Ford and the later Fords. They say it fits
Model A thru 48 but it doesn't. I put a 34 ford wheel on one of my Model A's I had to remachine the taper and cut the keyway in a different spot. The Model shaft is bigger
than the later taper so you have to open it up.
