Even Henry wore a badge! Ford identification badges began to appear around 1912 and changed in design several times over the years. Henry Ford's badge shown here was standard during World War II for all employees, who were also issued a laminated ID card with a facsimile signature of Harry Bennett. These picture badges were discontinued in November, 1945.
