Default Re: Employee Badges

I have been dealing with a fellow who is compiling a book on Ford Motor Company employee badges for all eras. He related to me that there were about a dozen SERIOUS collectors. I have been collecting since the early 70's and have quite a few, concentrating on the Model A era but have since widened my scope from early Model "T" to late V8.
Obviously, many Model A'ers collect ones from their area or where their A was assembled, price and scarcity being the limiting factors. The Model T shell style was still in use when the "A" was introduced, then followed by the "oval top" into the late thirties when, in 1938, the shield style with factory diorama was introduced showing the smoke stacks, river, boat and plane. This "38" style continued till the early 40's. Henry had 100's of plants around the world so there were many 100's of badges produced and many styles are available still.
