I nlove stuff like this. I was thinking the same thing about sticker shock. I also noticed after the war the trade in's wern't worth much, the 41 Ford only brought $25 allowance! Probably because they were all wore out and EVERYONE was trying to get rid of them!
During the war my dad traded for a used 40 Ford convertible, his 36 Chevy had given it up. As soon as the war was over He bought a new car as soon as he could, was glad to get $50 for the Ford! For $50 I sure wish he had just parked it in the barn!
