Well,I did go ahead and used the thicker gasket at the base of the carburetor,put it on the engine,fired it up and it does run.The engine will stay running but the problem is that as I accelerate the throttle,it pulls back,hesitating. In other words,If I am at 1200 rpm and try to rapidly increase to 2500rpm,it hesitates. I think I will just put my old 2100 carburetor back in the car and use that one.I put a carb.kit last year on it and its doing pretty good.
