White lithium will separate and dry out. I quit using it 20 years ago when I discovered this, and have used Mystik JT-6 High Temp red grease since that time. ATF will still be my lube for all my Studebaker vacuum wipers, as it will stay thin in cold weather.

Cold weather is never a problem though, because then road salt keeps all my good cars put away for 6 months.
