I've done plenty of hot rods with Grundy. I currently own 2 insured with them. An MGB with a 3.5 Rover aluminum V8 and Camaro T5, and a 914 Porsche with a small block Chevy. I do have to keep them in a locked garage, but there is no limit (or report needed) on mileage.
I drove the MGB on a 2,000 mile trip last summer. I called Grundy to let them know that the car would not be in a locked garage every night on that trip. The told me "No problem. Thanks for letting us know".
