Here is a wild ass guess but there were some trucks that had the e brake mounted on the driveshaft. If the rearend is out of one of those or just the backing plates, you may be missing some components for the e brake. That is not a problem you just need to know what you have and my need a few small parts to hook up the cable. Drum brakes are pretty standard across the board regardless of make model and year.
